SIRDA

The SuperIntelligence Research and Development Alliance

SIRDA connects organizations and individuals working on the safety and governance of advanced AI. It studies whether humanity can coordinate in time to govern an intelligence explosion that reaches the physical world: recursively self-improving AI systems that can act through critical infrastructure, laboratories, robotics, and cyber systems. The name describes the alliance's intended membership: the researchers and developers building advanced AI, alongside the people working to make its development safe and accountable.

The alliance is being developed as a shared research and deliberation space. Questions, sources, objections, and proposals will form a connected record that people can inspect and extend. The mission is to help research across specialties become useful to the people making and contesting consequential decisions.

Our role in the inquiry

SIRDA is convening the inquiry into government without territory. We are mapping the powers already distributed across the AI ecosystem and identifying where consequential powers are missing, while documenting sources, inviting criticism, and establishing a protocol for comparing institutional alternatives. Any eventual governing institution requires a separate founding process and a legitimate basis for every power it exercises.

Participation and accountability

Contributors will participate personally or through an authorized organizational role. The platform will distinguish SIRDA editorial hypotheses, personal contributions, organizational positions, and machine-generated analysis. Educational profiles, participation, and confirmed alliance membership will carry separate labels.

SIRDA's funding, editorial decisions, moderation, and conflicts of interest belong in the same accountability inquiry. As those arrangements are established, their rules and material changes will be published. Profile subjects will have a correction process and a right of reply, with moderation actions recorded.
